I'm also told the Polaris "Bumper" also makes your tailgate heavier which effects how much effort it requires to close it. Some might like it but I'm defiantly a fan.
Your eyes are not lying to you, it's not what I would call a bumper at all. It's nothing more than a metal shell that covers the plastic shell on the tailgate, IMHO there are a lot better options out there. I have the DRT bumper and love it, it's not the biggest or boldest but it really flows...
Nothing says you can't ask your dealer to fix or improve this issue, sometimes the squeaky wheel gets the grease. It will likely depend on what issue you have and how bad it is.
I have no low-speed issues and don't need more torque than I already have so I vote for speed. Not because I need to do 70 but because I want to keep the RPM's under 3000 while cruising around.
I have an early 24 with the same issue. I bought some 1/4" thick low density foam gasket and put it around the windshield frame on the Ranger to help it seal up better. Cost me about $5 and 5 minutes to improve the seal.
