2025 ranger 1500 door stop mechanism

Hi, I need some help on fixing my door stop, opened the door and wind took it causing the door stop to break. Any info on how to change or a different idea?

Did it the stops off the door hinges too?

It’ll have to go to the dealer. There are companies making belt like stops but Polaris isn’t.

Yea it looks like it broke by the two hinges

You might actually get that repaired under warranty, plus the dealer should install some safety limiting straps. Polaris has started installing straps on 2025’s. Unless you’ve had an issue or damage done, you have to pay for the straps. Which I did, I didn’t really want to wait for an issue or damage.

Polaris does have a retro fit strap kit now and they now come standard on 2025's but mount differently than the retro fit straps. They look to be a much better option than what I bought off Amazon but they work. My dealer showed me a pile of broken door hinges that they have replaced. He said Polaris will replace the hinges and install the door straps if you have an issue, but only if you have an issue. So from what my dealer told me you should be able to get them replaced for free and get the straps installed too.

That’s the problem I had. Couldn’t find the part number. My dealer couldn’t either. Let me know if you find it.

I just ordered the paracord straps from Amazon
Called the dealer they told me the hinges are on back order till mid December ! Thanks for all your help aloha from Hawaii

I just traded my 24 for a 25 and they do not come with door straps. The parts guy said you have to break them first and then they will warranty them. He said it’s like a two hour job to install them. I can’t see it taking that long although they do mount different than most of us did it.

I saw 2025's at my dealer with the door straps installed from the factory. I also saw the retrofit straps which mounted differently than those installed from the factory. (must remove door and install rivnuts) It is possible that the straps were a running change which means some of the earlier 2025's likely did not have them. That said I'm fairly confident you will see all new models arrive with them.

The crew cabs at the dealer had them but the two doors didn’t. They told me they installed them in on the crews. I bet your right the latest ones in the 2025 models probably have them.
