We haven’t done the rear firewall yet, but we pulled all the floor panels and insulated the coolant lines and packed the area between the floor and skidplate with polyfil.

On a scale of 1-10 how would you rate the improvement ?

Probably a 5 or 6. There’s a lot of open area under the floor panels for hot air to flow through. And a lot of air gaps into the cab.

The doors are another area where a lot of dust gets through, and that’s still a work in progress. I sealed up the front doors but I still need to do the rear doors.

I also still need to do the rear firewall. For that, I’ll be disassembling it all and lining both sides with sound mat. While these are already very quiet machines, the sound mat is insulative as well. And that’ll also give me a chance to seal any air gaps there.

Any chance you took pictures as you went through the process?
