DIY Bucket Built

Thought I’d share the new bucket I just completed for my XD1500. I used 3/16” steel plate (not 1/4” as in dimensions file), a small DIY MIG welder, and the plow mount for ease of connecting. To keep the design simple, I decided not to build in a “bucket drop” feature, so it just lifts and lowers. Since I’m just moving boulders and mulch, that works for me. As I had hoped, the single point attachment still holds the bucket solid from drooping when loaded. I think the trick is to drill as small a hole as possible (I think 1”) to allow the use of the plow safety pin. I did decide to use the hydraulic actuator from the plow to move the bucket left/right since it stays on the plow attachment. The boulder load I show in the pics was about 450 pounds and it remained level left/right. Not sure why Polaris doesn’t sell a bucket like on the old Brutus diesel?
