Front Axle noise

Ok, so we all know about the rear clunk. Which I’ve had the rear axles replaced just recently and the loctite applied.

Well I took my XD about this weekend for 3 days. I was hearing a pop and clunk noise sometimes as I turn left. But figured it was another clunk. Finally today after work had the time to give it a good rinse. Noticed the drivers front axle has popped out. So I guess it get to take mine back to the dealer.

Well, that's a new one, I think that's the first front axle problem I've heard about.

Ouch, this is a first.
Maybe just collected dust but that spline looks dry,,,,,,,and crooked.

I agree it looks dry, and I think it’s the camera angle that makes it look crooked plus since it’s partially out it is sitting at an angle. I can slide it back in. I’m wondering if it’s not related to the pop/clunk/knock noise that some of us are hearing up front on left turns or just every once in awhile?

That’s a good one. That shouldnt be possible at this point. How many miles you have on your machine? I’ve popped out two back ones. Rite after install within 100 miles.

I only have 1126 miles on it. I was very surprised to see it popped out, that’s for sure. Especially since I’ve had it in for front end noise. Of course there is no front axles in stock and they’re on back order. So we’ll see how long I have to not have my ranger again.
