Greasing

Has anyone cut a hole in the front skid plate instead of pulling out center cowl to grease the front drive shaft?

I have not but that sounds like a very good idea

No but going to drill a four inch hole in skid plate and make a bolt on cover for it

I made a custom half inch uhmw skid plate and drilled a 1.25 hole in appropriate location to grease front zerk. A access hole could easily be drilled in an oem skid plate. 1.25 is plenty of room to fit my grease gun to service the zerk.

That makes sense. For some reason I had it in my head you were making an access location inside the cab.
