Lithium Battery Option

Hmm, I didn’t know lithium batteries were available for our machines. I just purchased the heavy duty Polaris battery recently. I haven’t got it switched out yet though. I did a google search for replacement batteries and not much came up besides Deka. Which I’m not a fan of. To many premature failures with those.

Morning fellow XD owners! Anyone installed one of these batteries with good results? Higher CCA than OEM battery specs.
Im still trying to figure out how to get the dang, dead battery out of my XD1500.

Thanks! I had previously watched that a dozen times. The guy makes it look like it will easily slip out. It wont. Worked for two hours trying to get it out with no luck. Its packed in there with non moving cables blocking it. And no room to move the battery. Absolutely couldn't get it even started. Another guy suggested there might be a back door to get it iut but havent tried that yet…

I think if you remove the plastic panel (with the air vents) in front of the rear tire it will probably come out that way. I'm not sure, I've never really looked at it very closely. Mr.C said he just replaced his, maybe he could share what he did.

I was able to replace mine and pull it out of the front. I did have to pretty much disconnect every wire and cable going to my battery to successfully pull it out. Without doing that, it never would have come out.

It was not as easy as that video makes it look. The amount of wires that’s in the video is no where near the amount I have. I think that’s why it looks so easy.
