sorry about that…..i’m old and tech challenged lol. I don’t think it will go anywhere but the fact that they are so damn dumb to even consider messing with it is beyond me. typical. The fall out from this would be extremely devestating in many ways.It doesn't load for me, but I am sure I know the story you are referring to. Yes, it is a huge overreach and would cause so many more problems than it solves (not even sure what exactly it is supposed to solve). I don't think it will go anywhere, I'm not panicking.
100%... but this is very overreaching and problematic for many reasons. There is a provision in the bill where if a mere 50-150 people (depending on where they live) petition to close a trail, it will be closed and reviewed by a commissioner. The amount of trails that go within 200 feet of water is HUGE... (land of 10,000 lakes). There are many deeper buried provisions in this bill that make it a disaster for ATV use in Minnesota.I don't have a horse in this race but from an outsider looking in they appear on the surface to have some valid points. No one wants to lose places to ride but a few bad actors can make it hard on the rest of us.
Welcome! Yes, it is very concerning. It is on the agenda for a vote today... so we will know some sort of outcome before the end of the day. It will be a very sad day for Minnesota recreation if it is enacted.Just Joined and this is the first topic I see
I'm going to take care of business, then check back.
How about just changing the trail names to ' Day Care Centers '![]()
The problems we face today exist because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living.Update on this, this bill died in committee yesterday; however, the sponsoring individuals stated that they will make modifications and bring it to the committee again. Time will tell.
