Morning all. Already thinking ahead to when the white stuff arrives in winter. I recently installed a UHMW Wear Bar on my 84" Polaris plow. Should be way more friendly to my brand new asphalt driveway vs the standard steel wear bar. Next thing I'd like to change is the standard metal skid shoes. Anyone have any options or ideas on aftermarket skid shoes. Like to find a set of UHMW ones. Here's the new wear bar I purchased from Good Works Tractors. Very easy to install.

I run a similar wear strip on my 8' plow for my utility tractor with no shoes and a 8'6" Boss V-Plow on a pickup with no shoes. Both are over 8 years old and are lasting very good. I have a very long asphalt driveway and frequently plow the secondary road to the main road which is about 1/3 mile. The real beauty is it doesn't tear up the lawn if I wander a little.

Sounds like I can likely ditch the skid shoes then if using the UHMW Wear Bar. Thanks Rupp for the insight on how you plow.

Is this the 2" or 4" version? What is the thickness you used? My asphalt driveway is already pretty long in the tooth and I don't want to accelerate it's demise. 😬

I have a thread going. Somewhere in here pick yourself up some 3 or 4” by 1” thick rubber cutting edge. Been using it for years on all my stuff. Use the old steel cutting edge to sandwich the rubber in. Never do any damage.
