I could use some help choosing an aftermarket shock for thumper fab long arm kit. They offer fox, which i know from my go fast days. Then there is Zbrothers. King is another venue, although I think they would have to be custom built. Any direction would be appreciated.

Shocks are not a subject a lot here have talked about a certainly not an area I have anything to offer. I know at least one member here has the Zbrothers shocks and had an adjustment position issue that they readily corrected. For those "in the know" please help Rockydog1 out!

Same as Big Red, don't know much about them but a sponsor name JT Barlow and then a member named Andy have modified their suspension. Might search their names

By far the best (and most expensive) is the SDI E-Clik Shocks. We’ve got them on our XD 1500 with JRI Mid Travel suspension. They’re electronically controlled, and you can switch between ride modes on-the-fly. They have presets like Highway, Trail, and Desert but you can set custom settings to fine tune the ride.

Then SDI also has their Trail master Shocks. They’re a standard shock with manual adjustments, but still a massive improvement over OEM.

We’ve had Z Bros on our previous Ranger XP 1000 Crew with HCR, and they were great as well.

And finally, Shock Therapy has shock upgrades for the XD 1500. I don’t have any experience with these but S. T. typically does excellent work and I don’t think I’d hesitate to try them.

Any upgrade is going to be a huge improvement over OEM.

On the kings...
What specs you come up with?
Thumper fab declined telling me length or anything else except they are fox.
If you can answer, what did you pay?

Thumper Fab will never give that kind of information out. I paid almost 6000 for these shocks and to me well worth it. If you are interested in getting those, I can get you set up with Jorge over at KING shocks

It will take a little bit of modification though

$6000 for shocks!!! Wow I really don't know shit about shocks for the XD. I do however know that $6000 is 12% of what a brand new 6 seat XD Ultimate cost. For $6K I would expect a "Happy Ending" every time I drove it.:ROFLMAO:

Will completely change the way you can drive this machine. Best money spent.

100% agreed!

The XD1500 is considerably better than the XP1000s, but still rides like a farm truck. And if that’s all it’s used for, that’s fine.
But if it’s used as much or more for trail riding, at a minimum, shocks will make a huge impact on the ride quality. Even not going with the high dollar setups.
But going from a stock suspension to Mid Travel with high quality shocks has made the 1500 into an extremely capable and comfortable trail riding machine. Despite the less than comfortable seating.
