Good day. I have seen several entries regarding transmission slippage. However when I put my unit in sport mode, throttle response is instantaneous & there is no transmission slippage. Wonder if others are not aware of the sport mode?

No slippage in any mode here, not sure being in Sport mode makes any difference.

Is it possible, and don't let this question frustrate anyone... but is it possible that what is sometimes being described as "slip" is just people adjusting to a new type of transmission? In the past, some of the complaints were based on expectations and the FEEL of a rubber belt driven system that people are used to, as is in other Rangers and side by sides in general. Comparing sport mode and comfort mode can cause perhaps a sensation of "slip", with the higher RPM behavior; this has been shown and explained in Polaris videos. I'm genuinely curious as someone who hasn't experienced this issue, how do you know it's slipping?

Clutch pressure is electronically controlled... and it is possible that in cold conditions, the pressure is intentionally reduced until it warms up... again, just thinking out loud here, I am in no way an expert on a CVT transmission.

Well said jj46. Anyone used of the sudden grab of a rubber belt CVT may interpret the smoothness of the Steel Drive as slippage. Not saying that's the case just a possibility.

I have the 2025 Northstar Ultimate and also had concerns about transmission slippage, but last week I changed the transmission fluid and filter (6,000 Miles), the magnet in the pan had almost no metal dust on it so maybe it is just the way the transmission works.

Good to hear. Wow, 6000 miles on a 2025... nice!

Mine has to warm up for about 5 minutes when its cold out even 35 degrees Or it wont move . when warm shifts right to creeper when shifted in Drive. Only thing I have noticed when I come to a stop It has a lag like it slips for a second before it takes off . Any one else feel that or is it just normal ?

In Red (the fastest color) 1500 XD's that's known as Turbo Lag.......once it hits, she's gone!

I think your feeling the Secondary Wet Clutch slipping (which it is designed to do) before it engages the drive/driven clutch of the Steel belt. FYI the 1st Wet Clutch is for reverse.
