As some of you know, our machine turned right when sitting still and was difficult to drive. I somewhat corrected the issue by adjusting the toe then repositioning the steering wheel so we could at least drive it.

It took a while to get the updated parts, but I just picked it up from the dealer and the windshield is a much better fit and the steering is night and day difference. complete steering unit was replaced. We had two other issues in that the 35inch valor wheels and tires would not balance. And when I say...wouldn't balance, they would shake the balancer so bad it would shut down. We worked with the dealer and Valor to address the issue and after 3 months of waiting on a new batch of tires, they sent 4 new ones already balanced. We weren't happy about 3 trips back to the dealer and trying to balance 12 different tires to get 2 for the front, but in the end, Valor absolutely stood behind their product and made it right. This has been a 4-month process to get the machine where we could actually use it but maybe this information will help others speed up the process if they have issues.

The flashing buttons on the ride command unit was the other issue and is a known issue with Polaris, but they still do not have a fix.

Sounds like the tire deal took way longer than it should, hope you have good luck from here on out. I still find it odd that Polaris isn't smart enough to figure out why the buttons flash on and off. One would think it has to something to do with the daylight sensor but who am I to guess. I hope your issues are behind you and you can actually enjoy the XD.

Agreed on the lights. I have a Ride Command on my Rzr, and it does not have this issue, and both use the exact same software. If I had to guess, they discovered it's a hardware problem on newer production units, and they don't want to have to swap them out.

From an engineering standpoint, I suspect this is a hardware issue which directly affects costs. I was disappointed that Polaris tried to sell it as a "normal" condition. It has been a constant fight with the dealer and Polaris to address the issues. I have so many hours in disassembling bead locks and turning tires on the wheels to show where the issue was that it took all the fun out of owning the machine. It seems perfect now but couple this with the O2 sensor failure at 15 miles and fighting to get it warrantied, we need a break from this thing!!lol

I'm sure the tire and rim deal was very frustrating, but it's not fair to hold Polaris responsible for Valor wheels and tires. That's on Valor and it sounds like your dealer ordered 3 sets of tires to try to correct it. While a pain in the ass they seemed to be trying to solve the problem. Anyway it's behind you now, take the XD out today and enjoy it.

Got it home and drive it down the road to notice the rear end clunk along with the ride command brightness issue that still exists. I was on the fence about selling it and after all the issues both with Polaris and the dealer, we sold it for more than what I had it advertised on here for. I think we are just going to sit tight for a while and see what the 2027 models address then make a decision on what to purchase.

If we decide to build a 2027, I think we will do portals and 37- or 40-inch tires as something fun. I hate to say it, but we have considered doing a HD11 with portals also, but we have always built Polaris for this type of ride and X3's for racing or hard trails.
