Hi,

Anyone know of a plug and play direct bolt on to replace this plastic piece of shit they call a steering wheel? My buddy has a 2019 RZR Turbo who was able to get a RZR/Sparco direct replacement wheel, and it’s great. The wheel on my 2024 Xpedition was nicer than this thing. Thanks!

I put an Assault Steering wheel on my last Ranger and liked it; it was a little smaller than the stock one which felt a little odd at first. Most wheels will work but you will need to get the correct adapter for the 1500. I'm not sure if the XP1000 and 1500 XD take the same adapter or not. Here's the links to what I had on my XP.

Did you ever find out if the spline is the same as the Ranger 1000?

I put a new steering wheel on. The spline is the same as the Ranger 1000.Added the quick release also.

Looks nice and comfy. I feel it would be weird driving with part of the steering wheel being straight/flat. But I’ve never tried it either.

I had an Assault on my XP1000 and liked the looks and feel of it. The only thing I didn't like is it was smaller and brought the wheel closer to me. As a big guy I really didn't need the wheel to be closer to me. For those wanting a new wheel Assault has several models to choose from in suede and leather. I you want to save a few bucks DRT has a few wheels that I swear are Assaults with the DRT logo on it.

Super easy.Pop center cap off stock one. One nut holding it on. Pop it off and bolt new one on.

Some come off easy, some do not. If not use a rubber hammer on the back side of the steering wheel tapping forward alternating sides. Before you remove the old steering wheel make sure your wheels are straight, I would also use a paint pen to mark the shaft at top dead center. That way if it is hard to get off and you start twisting the wheel you'll know where straight is. Keeping the steering shaft is important so you know where to clock the new wheel. If your off much you'll have to remove it and reposition it again. (ask how I know)
