Got my Ranger XD1500 back from the service dept last month with the updated snow plow hydraulics. When I parked it in my garage I tested the up/down and angle features and all was well.
Apparently, I then shut it off without moving it from Drive to Park... large brain fart.
Now I can't get it to start because it's in Drive and I cannot move the shift lever. It's not in 4WD, but the rear axle is locked and I can't unlock it. Jacked up the rear end hoping I could rotate the wheels and move the shift lever... nope.
100% bonehead move on my part, but does anybody have suggestions?
I'll call Polaris tomorrow to see if they have a solution.

I've done that before, but it went right into park when I realized it the next time I went to start it. One suggestion, try putting it into neutral, then attempt to put it into park. Good luck!

I shut mine off in gear once, I never knew it until I tried to start it the next time I went to drive it. All I did was turn the key on and push on the brake pedal to get it to go back into park. Once in park I could start it.

Since they replaced the top of the gear shift handle with the snowplow 'knob', I figured out it's in Park. 😑 No, I haven't driven it much since I bought it.
Anyway, the center dash is working. Radio, gauges, etc. The left side of the dash is dead so I'm guessing either a fuse blew or when they wired in the hydraulic controller, that caused this issue. Burnt fuse hunt in the morning.

Update: Polaris dealer picked up my Ranger on June 3rd. Had to roll it onto their trailer since it wouldn't start.
Service Manager called yesterday and Polaris told them to replace the Vehicle Control Module (VCM). Unfortunately, that part is on backorder until August 15th. SM is asking Polaris to prioritize my repair as a 'Down Unit' since it's been 7 weeks.
I called Polaris and updated my case with them regarding the no-start issue and VCM availability. They also said it would be prioritized as a 'Down Unit'. Good times...

Got my Ranger back last week. Turns out the Ravelco that I had installed caused a short circuit and fried the main wiring harness, picture attached of the wiring fiasco. The Prescott GO AZ Dealership and Service Dept. went to bat for me and Polaris covered the repair under warranty.
I feel incredibly lucky and thankful that my Dealer Manager, Service Dept. Manager, and Polaris bailed me out, big time.
Already settled with Ravelco. So glad to have my Ranger back!

Sounds like your dealer and Polaris did you a solid, they didn't have to do that. I'm glad you got your Ranger back, may you have many trouble free miles ahead.
