An interesting video that shows a few mods and a drag race between a regular XD and the new Mountaineer. No surprise that the Mountaineer is quicker off the line but loses quite a bit of top end. More proof that "Red's the Fastest Color"

No, it's not a great test but that's not really why I posted the video. It shows a few aftermarket items that some might not be aware of and clearly shows the difference in top end speed. I think that's what most people will take away from it.

I have had both and kept the mountaineer edition. In the mountains where i live there was no comparison.

That's a true statement! In my early 20's I had a flame red IROC Z and if I drove 5 over the speed limit a cop would stop to talk to me. I think I've had 3 tickets in my life and 2 of them was driving that car. It was a freaking cop magnet.
