Well since nobody has been saying much about our Rangers lately I thought I would post "something" just to see if people are still showing up here to chat. I have 4 tool boxes, 3 in my shop and 1 in the garage. (56" Clarke HD plus, 46" Milwaukee, 52" Milwaukee, and 32" US General) Oddly enough the one in the garage get's the most use for mechanical stuff like wrenching on the Ranger, sharpening lawn mower blades, changing oil.........you get the picture. About a month ago I replaced my US General 5 drawer mechanics cart with US General Full Bank Service Cart. I just needed a little more room to store more tools. If your interested in adding tool storage to your shop this weekend is a good time to do it. Harbor Freight has the 5 drawer cart reduced from $279 down to $199. The Full Bank cart like mine from $599 down to $499, and the 72" Roller Cart from $1799 down to $1399. All are available in 8 different colors to suit your taste. Not trying to be a HF salesperson but I believe the US General line of toolboxes are the best available for their price point. Anyway here are some pics of my new box which is still a work in progress, and please share your tool storage as well.

Ok, over a 100 views and not a single word from anybody........really? I can't believe nobody wants to show off their tool box set-up. Come on guys, I bet there are some really nice boxes out there with some fairly cool mods.

I think we’re all jealous of your set up. lol. Mine is not near as big, or as clean and organized. Plus for me, my tools are basically inside my work truck.

I agree with Mr. C , I have seen pictures of your garage, I bow down to the master.
I have a couple chests of specialty tools that would almost compete with you but the two chests I work out of would be embarrassing to show pictures of. My "pliers" drawer has numerous vice grips, side cuts, needle nose, extended needle nose, channel locks, and a bunch more. It is a huge drawer and I have no issue finding the tool I need but when I finish I toss it at the drawer and give the soft close a shove.
I may find a minute to take a few pics of my Proto and Icon chest but I am waist deep in our house expansion so maybe not.

The addition looks awesome! Share pics when it's done!

Forgot to add a pic of my little man shed. Which is where I keep some stuff. Along with my 20+ year old craftsman tool cart. It’s basically a beer drinking/tinkering shed. But if I buy new tools, they usually end up in the work truck.

You gotta love that era of Craftsman Toolbox, I think most everybody had a Craftsman box at some point in their life. I have an older brother that still has his first Craftsman from the early 80's.

Nicely done! I'm a fan of the Milwaukee Packout drawers with casters. They work great as mobile toolboxes and can easily be broken down into portable packs for transport.

For those that have been around here for a while you know I'm a tool junkie and have more tools than talent. Recently I've been rearranging my Woodshop freeing up space for more "stuff". This led to to getting rid of a tall black tool box and my workbench. I bought two 42" roller cabinets and reused my workbench top and merged the two into one. So now I have a 7 foot long toolbox under my workbench (sometimes it's a bar too) that works out really well. Half the time I'm working on the bench so it's handy to have the tools right underneath it. All in all I'm happy with the way it turned out.

Once again I bow down to the tool master. I probably have close to the same amount of tools but am certain will never look as nice or be as organized. Mine look beat up and anything that can be stained with grease,,,,,is

Looks very nice and organized Big Red. I like the hangout Tazman, my space doesn’t look anything like that.

Thank you for the feedback. We spend more time in the garage and shop than I do the house. My wife enjoys hanging out with me also.

looks very neat and organized you might be more anal than I am

I can assure you that I'm more organized than most. I've been involved with Lean, Kaizen, Continuous Improvement or what ever you want to call since the early 90's. I've been trained by the people that created the TPS (Toyota Production System) so I'm all all. I've been a lean practitioner and Manger multiple times in my career so workplace organization is natural for me.
