Interesting couple of days folks. I had placed my order for the mountaineer based on the 'hill climbing capabilities of the new 3:77 gear ratio. But words from Big Red kept gnawing at me; for the 5% of the time I will have hill climbing issues I am subjecting my crew (family) to increased noise...

Please allow me to dwell a bit longer on the same topic. Given the new gear ratio/low end torque of the mountaineer version of the '26 XD how do folks feel about giving up top speed (do I need to go 70?) vs low end torque to address the "low gear" question? Thanks for your vote.
