Polaris refuses to admit their are issue with air intrusion in 24-25 XD 1500 machines. Why, if their are no issues did they add foam sealing pieces to the front of the firewall on 2026 machines? Come on Polaris, help us out. I really like my machine other than the air intrusion is ridiculous!!!
Is anyone having these issues with a 2026 machines?
My farm equipment has better sealed cabs.
I know there are numerous post on how to seal the cab. I bought my XD1500 Ultimate because of the A/C and heater, which neither one can keep up with the air intrusion in the right circumstances. I want to enjoy the machine and not continuously keep working on it.
If people don't let Polaris know, they won't fix the issues!

Venting this morning! Was a cold weekend in my machine, Mike

Every once in a while I will get a shot of cold air above the steering column but not every time I ride it and maybe only once in a days ride, very odd. I will also get a shot of cold air coming from the door handle from a cross wind if I'm riding across an open area. 99% of my riding is through the woods/forest so there is not a lot of open fields that I experience this, other than where the forest fire took place years ago......just my $0.02

The faster you drive the more hot / cold get's in. When I push snow I can barely run the heater without sweating to death. Go down the road at 60 mph and the heater struggles to keep up. For the most part mine is fine but it could always be better.

I agree. there is a combination of wind speed and machine speed when the outside air starts coming into machine. If i have a tailwind everything functions well.

We completely took our cab interior apart on our 2024 including the floor and headliner. Behind and around the back seat you could see in multiple places holes in the frame. Next is the air inflow in all 4 of the door handles. Steering column and other front panel places is another area where there is unmitigated air intrusion. Up at lower corners of the windshield also holes. The windshield wiper motor location lets water in by the quart and runs out the minute you pull away from a stop.
We have retrofitted most all but 3 of the door handles at this time with either liquid foam sealant or the sticky backed foam for sound proofing for automobiles. Taking apart the doors to seal the handles is a timely project and we also put soundproofing in the door exterior side cavities as well as roof and floor.

Another aside is there is no sun visors anywhere on the market that are capable of driving when in lower setting sun, that is from 1:00 PM ON'
The rock sliders from Polaris are the weakest strength design on the market other than having nothing to protect these very costly doors.

Being a long term RV owner we have come to learn that fit and finish is not an art in that world. Now also being a polaris owner from the 70's with snowmobiles we find that polaris has adapted and in some ways created the same "make it look pretty" but completely miss the fit and finish part of their units. The frame of ours looks like swiss cheese for the numerous holes that they gave not a whit of an consideration about.

On a scale of 10 Polaris is at -10 in our opinion but that has not yet driven us to go to the foreign brands. Not Yet!

I probably should have started my last post on this with that I own a spray foam company so I look for where there is air intrusion now for 22 years and for the previous 20 years before that as a General Building Contractor. The big holes are easy to find but the numerous small holes are the ones that create the major amount of air intrusion, in the Polaris frame they are everywhere! A total lack of professionalism by Polaris in my view. I give them no credit for their astonishingly inept attempt to build a heated, air conditioned, unit and made it like their open air snowmobile and side by sides with just windows and doors.
We ride in AZ winter and MI, WY and MT most every summer for months and have tracks for winter riding in MT & MI.

I can't help but be slightly dismissive of some of your post(s). I fully understand the cab sealing issues... it's been well documented for better or worse, and is absolutely a genuine design miss. Polaris did try to address it for 2026, but my suspicion is it will only be a partial remedy. All of that said... a "-10 out of 10"? Really? You talk about lack of professionalism, inept attempts, etc.... if you are that frustrated and upset about your unit, it seems you should cut your losses and move on. Life is too short to be miserable.

I don't know why everybody always gripes about the sealing
just pull off the front fenders seal off the holes I used
pipe for a/c line sets the black with a rubber outer coating
no big deal a couple hours and problem fixed the only bitch
I have is the clunk but polaris finally agreed to replace the rear diff.

Remember the old days (like 5 years ago) when we just expected a SXS to be a SXS. Ya I know they cost as much as a vehicle, but they are not........at least not yet. They are a plastic tub on a metal frame and do mostly what we want them to do, or we wouldn't own them would we?

Great point!! A few issues that can be fixed pretty easily yourself and if it is a dealer issue like the clunk if you have a good one
they will help you I don't bother mine with minor issues
like air coming in just fix it simple problem!!

I have a few hours and many beverages in sealing up our 2025 crew but now that it's done, it seems fine. Once you get the fender assemblies off, it's not bad to do.

The air intrusion might be easier for me to swallow and do something about if I didn't keep seeing these Polaris adds stating

I too run with tracks and have to turn the heat down in minus 28 Celsius on the lake. These things are a million times better than any Ranger Expedition or Can Am that I have had. Zero complaints here.
Sorry you are not having the same experience
