My bed keeps drifting up after riding for awhile. Anybody else seen this? It goes back down when I hit the down button. Short rides are fine.

Well that's nice for you, but not for me. I'll take a picture next time it happens, but maybe some will think it's staged?

I think this is the first I’ve ever heard of this one. It’s not by chance not getting lowered all the way down after use is it? I’ve done that before with fire wood.

How tall are you? I’m 6’5” and my knee hits the switch every once in a while. Usually I hit the down portion of the switch but I guess it’s possible I could hit the up portion on rough terrain. Just a thought.

I'm 5' 10". I'll have to watch that getting in and out, but when it does it I put it back down after I get out. I should have added that this machine is new with less than 100 miles. I guess I have the only machine that has this problem. Sorry to have bothered the forum with this post. Admin please delete it.

This will sound like a dumb question but you do you have anything in the very back of the bed ? ,on a different machine I had the back of the bed loaded and when hitting bumps would cause the bed to drift up a little.

Ernie - No reason to have to delete this post, from what I see you have a problem and others are trying to help you out. I'm 6'8" and I have a brother 6'7" and another 6'6" and we all have XD's and we all have hit the dump button with our knees. We all did this when we first got the Rangers and have since trained ourselves to posistion our leg differently. I'm not saying that is your problem but like others have said it happens. I like others have never heard of this happening before but that does not mean you couldn't be the first. Other than what I suggested above I don't have much else to offer, I'm not sure how the bed cylinder can fail "upwards" without being activated.

No, the bed was empty.

As Big Red stated no reason to remove the post. You may be bumping the button or could be one of the first to have an issue with the electric bed actuator

My 1500 was doing the same thing, but I found it when I was shifting the front end in and out my fat hand was actually hitting on the up button right below it

Hey Ernie, as stated above there is no reason to delete your post.
I am reasonably sure all of us are interested in the reason and solution for the issue!
Maybe the switch is defective.

You know, that could be my problem. I'll watch. Thanks!

I checked my machine when the dealer brought it back from fixing a leak. I think I must be hitting the lift switch when I'm putting/taking the diff lock in or out. I'm going to be very carefull from now on and see. My bad?

Not just you, I’ve done it too. I was blessed with fat fingers. “Thanks dad”
