For those that may be interested in an aftermarket exhaust for the XD. The pipe coming out the back is kind of cool.

Cool but for me 100% no way. If they gave it to me I honestly wouldn’t put it on. I like it quiet. And cruising with the tracks on down the lake at 4000-4500 that would kill me! It sounds obnoxious to me.

Is there a way to make the stock exhaust quieter? Lol.

20 years ago when I couldn’t afford this kind of machine I’d have been all over that..

Ya, it's a hard no for me too, but I thought I would share. I have no need for more noise or more power (I never thought I would say that) so what's the point? I do think it's cool how it comes out in the center of the machine.

I agree! i would love to replace the stock muffler with one that would quite down the machine. any suggestions?

My comments are the same as Clubin and Big Red, it's cool, like the center location, 20 years ago I would say "Heck Yeah" but I like it quiet inside. I run mine 99.9% in Comfort Mode. I'd be surprised if I drove more that 2 miles in Sport mode and Standard mode since I've own it. Maybe this Summer when there is no snow and ice on the ground; Sport mode could get some time, but for now I'll keep the "Comfort". No need for addition power for me, I don't use what it has now LOL.

Comfort mode for me as well, there is a 1050 RPM difference between Comfort and Sport modes at 40 MPH. I took pictures to prove it to my brother who said there was no difference. On a flat blacktop road Comfort mode was at 3550 RPM's and Sport mode was at 4600. Same road, same day, back-to-back runs. So, if you're running in Standard or Sport mode and you want your 1500 to be quieter give Comfort a try.
