I have hot air blowing in underneath the dash. Any ideas. Even with AC on.

You can do a search, there's quite a few threads on it. The best thing I did was to remove the front fenders and stuff foam everywhere hot air was coming in. Several have insulated the center tunnel, I haven't done that yet.

I have done both, under the fenders I stuffed foam rubber in every hole and then taped over the holes, also insulated the tunnel, can't say I noticed any significant improvement.

Run your a/c on panel and floor. That helps a lot.
The heat is blowing from the radiator fans straight towards the cab.
They need a fan shroud to guide the hot air outwards to the tires.
That would help tremendously.

I removed both front fenders, stuffed all the holes with foam rubber and Gorilla taped over them. Also taped over the wiring grommet under the hood. Mine is now 90+ percent better. Very little dust intrusion and very little hot air coming in as long as the fan switch is on. With or without the ac being on.

Did you do a write up or watch something and what type foam? Any pics?

This is a link to the foam I purchased. Much more than I needed but I just cut the pieces to fit in the holes. Sorry, I thought I took pics but now can't find them. But there are pics from others on this forum I think. Or on the XD Facebook page. I followed the WD Electronics video for fender removal. Hope that helps.

Ok thank you, looks like a project i might as well start. I dont have FB so all my info comes from you fine people.

Dido what Jay B said. What are we supposed to do with the cab filter under the hood?
I wondered the same thing when I read that. I took the hood off and looked at the filter, where it comes through the firewall there is an opening for the filter housing to protrude. Somewhere else I saw that someone cut a piece of rubber tubing lengthwise and put it on the opening and sealed it up. I did that which seals it up good. I haven’t run it yet to see if it made a difference.

I just saw that on a Facebook page yesterday. Worth giving it a try.

I guess I'm not following. Are you talking about moving the cabin air intake?
No the air filter under the hood looks like a filter on a carburetor if you take it of and i found a cap of a jar and tape on. But need to run cabin air, and run dash and foot air . Works great. Hope that helps

Okay, I'm a little slow here and still am having trouble understanding what is being said. So, I will explain what I think I hear.
Remove the fresh air filter from under the hood and seal up the opening with "something" Because this is by-passed when you run your A/C you must run it in the Recirculation mode because you closed off the outside air. The suggestion is to choose the dash and floor setting for the A/C.

Ok, so here is a dumb question. Why can't you just leave the fresh air filter alone and run the A/C in the Recirculation mode?

If you take that filter off and put a piece of card board over it and try it. you should see a difference . If you put your hand over the steering wheel and there should be no air coming out . Good luke

I could also just put a bag on my filter and seal it, easier than removing it and trying to seal up the hole.
