I have owned our 1500 for about Seven months now. We put Mattracks on it for the winter, they work pretty good. I am having problems with the radio getting in any stations. Is anyone else having tuning issues?

Congrats! Wyoming is beautiful. There’s a lot of complaints about poor radio reception with these machines. Especially if you’re rural. I only get about 2-3. But I’m usually using my phone for music anyways. There is a few members that have installed a recreational watts antenna, with improved reception. If you do a search I’m sure you’ll find some write ups on it. Or maybe some members will reply here.

Welcome to the group FSW! I took the best motorcycle trip of my life riding Wyoming the the surrounding states, I'm due for a return visit. The XD's radio reception sucks, in fact it would have to be twice as good as it is to get a "suck" rating. Like Mr.C said Recreational Watts makes one that my dealer claims will fully resolve the issue. At the time we spoke they did not have one for the XD and were using the same one the XP1000 Rangers use. If I remember right it was about $100 for the kit.

Ya radio is not good just usually use the music I have on my phone looked into it a couple of times on my 1000xp but just started using my phone. I’m Western Wyoming South of Jackson.

Congrats on new ride!
As far as the radio, I get as many stations as I do in my truck, but I usually stream radio stations from my phone (TUNE-IN, iHeart, etc..) and even a FM station from Escanaba, MI (WCMM-The Moose-102.five) I live in the Northern lower peninsula of Michigan and there are very few radio stations in this area. Enjoy your rides!
