My wife, special needs son, Elie dog, and I are looking for meek places to ride our 1500XD Crew. Years past we had many trips to Windrock , Ride Royal Blue, Brimstone, Hatfield McCoy, and numerous others. We went west and rode a several weeks in the San Juan mountains, Paiute, Little Sahara, Moab, and north to Silver Lake.
We had the fast machines and rode them accordingly, including upside down and on our sides a couple times.
We now have an XD limo and our taste is leisurely sightseeing at a moderate pace. Interested in fire roads type stuff.
We are not going to go anywhere helmets are required.
While we research ridding possibility's we are discovering some states have weight limits to ride their trail system that we exceed.
Wondering if any Michigan members have understanding about : weight limits, helmet rules, and just in general places to enjoy some scenic riding ?

Thank you in advance :

We ride with a group in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Actually Newberry, Grand Marais, Munising & Seney area the most. Lots of seasonal roads to ride that take you nearly anywhere you want to go. No helmets necessary.

Thank you for the response, I have been to the UP a couple times to ride snowmobiles with my old friend Bill Peterson.
Wish I better understanding of what riding "seasonal roads" looks like.
When we rode in the San Juan mountains we enjoyed basically gravel roads that led us from one scenic location to another. No dramatic trails but beautiful scenery.
