Howdy all! I’ve been on the other Ranger forum as I currently own a 2023 XP1000 Northstar Ultimate.
I am seriously thinking about getting a XD1500 and now have found a place to read threads about the unit.
Wisconsin just passed a law allowing units over 3000# (crew cab model) to drive on trails so my interest is peaked and the hunt is on to find what I want.
With the cost of this unit I just want to feel that it was worth it.
As there are many owners of this product on this forum, are you happy with your decision to purchase the 1500?
Would you buy one again?

So far so good. 1 year down. Also in Wisconsin glad to see how good is the 1500. Have trailer many miles in the UP. Am not interested in trying to climb the largest mountain modest trails hills and valley mud has not been a problem. But if really looking to do 90 all the time. The I do think the 1500 can pretty much cover all aspects with less noise. Mainly for me less noise and just being out side. That sayed I'm 65. Early when my first 3 wheeler then qauds a Razor would have been great. If you ride hard they all will break at some point. That sayed I am happy with the 1500 the I am looking at different tires and maybe a shock change. Good luck

Yes I would I just would have added more extras tire . tinting. Floor mats.
Front light bar. Maybe shock change.
Did add rock sliders they are a must
Don't leave with out. Work it in

Thanks for your reply. I enjoy the trails and driving to the UP as we’re located near the border in central Wisconsin . This will be probably my last unit so want to have a good dependable product that can be used on mild trail riding, small hills like you said and enjoy cool and heat when required as well as odd jobs around the house. Thanks for your input.

I am just outside Eau Claire. Fall Creek it is perfect and then some for that. Good Luck

Yes I would do it again, and again, and again! I had 2 XP100's before I ordered the XD. I ordered my 2024 in August of 2023 and finally got it in January of 2024. It has been everything I hoped it was and more, I could NEVER go back to an XP1000. It is so much quieter, smoother, and rides better than an XP. I finally have an arm rest in the center which was sorely needed. The tilting bed, rear back-up light, power in the bed, bumper lights, shackles, 6000 lb winch, bull bar all make this a more useful and appealing rig. The doors finally feel and sound like they should. The motor is smooth, easier to work on, and has a nice deep tone that is quieter the the XP's. The steel drive transmission is a game changer for me. I drive in Comfort mode and it doesn't need high RPM's to go faster. I usually rum around 45 mph on hardpack and once up to speed it will actually drop the rpm's back down. After I got my XD I let my 2 brothers drive it.......with 4 months they both traded their XP1000 Northstars in for an XD so we have 3 in the family. Most of the early issues are sorted out by now, with a few still having the rear axle "clunk" No one I know has the "clunk" but some on this site do and have talked about it a lot.
In my opinion absolute must haves are side mirrors, and quality 32" tires. From there it's all about what you need and how crazy you want to get. Gook Luck

Thanks for you comments. Now, I’m getting closer to decision making time. Yes, I read about the clunking noise and will continue to monitor. Too bad that Polaris hasn’t responded , or at least not that I saw yet.
