I came across this the other day, it looks like a cost effective way to add rear speakers to the 1500. The one thing I don't understand is if the 1500 is already pre-wired for these speaker or not. The video shows you just plugging them in but I'm not so sure it's that easy. Does anyone have these and if so do they sound good.

The 1500 (ultimate, at least, that’s all I have to go off) has a connector behind the drivers seat which provides an audio signal, and turn on signal for the rear speakers AMPLIFIER. So, the Polaris OEM rear sub/roof speakers plug and play into that connector. I’m unsure of you need a separate power and ground for the amp.

So, what that Amazon link is selling is just the speakers and brackets for them. You still need an amp.

The UTV Stereo 10” sub kit I have uses that plug behind the seat to get an audio signal and power turn for the amp that powers the sub. Very painless install and sounds amazing. I still use the JBL separates up from for highs and mids. Very pleased with the sound quality, and I have no overhead speakers. You could easily add a two channel amp to drive those roof speakers that your link has, but the speakers themselves need an amp to run them.

Is your UTV Stereo sub kit have everything you need to plug and play? Could you post a link to what you have?

It just pisses me off that Polaris is so f*cking cheap they never gave us an Expedition level stereo to begin with. That and the fact that the half assed stereo we got can't pick up a FM station 20 miles away. You would think after all these years they could figure something this simple out. Sometimes Polaris just makes it hard to love them.

Here you go:

This puts the 1500 system on par with the Xpedition, I’d say.
