Just finished updating my Polaris Ranger 1500 with the latest map and software using a simple USB download. After the update, it completely cleared up the transmission issues I’d been fighting with.

If anyone else is having similar problems, make sure you check for the most recent update – it made a night-and-day difference on mine.

What issues was you having and what version did you update to?

It was shifting all over the damn place sometime would shift higher revs without being under strain of a hill. It wasn't consistent with the drive modes either.

So I understand you updated the software for the ride command and it changed how the trans shifts?

I don't think updating the Ride Command software will do anything for the transmission. To get the latest software for the engine and transmission you will have to go to the dealer.
