Well, a friend made me an offer to buy my 2024 Ranger XD1500 Northstar that I could not turn down. Honestly, the quality issues with the UTV have been frustrating (water leaking into cab, open airflow into cab from front of vehicle, rear axle knocking/clunking) so I'm moving on to maybe a Kawasaki Ridge.

For sale is my 84" Glacier Plow assembly that includes the hydraulic swivel actuator. I used this for two winters and it's in like new condition. As mentioned in a separate post, I also made a custom bucket that uses the same mounting frame as the plow. The only thing you'll need to buy is the wire harness that attaches to the swivel actuator. I am in Lake Geneva, WI so pickup is the only option as I have no idea how I would ship something this big and heavy.

Everything as shown (plow, frame, hydraulic, and bucket (not sprayer in pic)) for $2200. Pickup only in or near Lake Geneva, WI.

Going from a ranger 1500 to a Kawasaki Ridge is like going from a Escalade to a Kia. Congrats.
Well, now that I’ve test driven the competition, I have to agree with you Clubin! In my diligence, I also learned a lot of the issues that plagued my first 1500 (window leaks, windshield leaks, tranny, axle knocks) might be resolved in the 2026.

So the plow and bucket are off the market as I’m giving Polaris another try with a new 26 1500 Northstar Ultimate. 🤞

I sat in a Ridge about 6 months ago, the seats felt like they were not fastened correctly, everything just felt loose......maybe they were?
Very small for my size, not for me.

I’m embarrassed since I should have solicited feedback from other forum members on the competition to my 1500. My neighbor came in surprisingly with such a ridiculous bid things just happened very quickly. You’re right about the Ridge. It just felt cheap and was very, very loud. Happy that I’ve decided to stick with the 1500 and remain with everyone in this forum. Thx Big Red!

Well dang! Just saw the post and was going to get hold of you about the plow! My loss, but I agree with your move to go back to the 1500. I have a '24 and about the only thing I'd give it up for is a ridiculous offer or a newer model. Hope it turns out well for you. Please let us know your thoughts on a '26 if you get one.

I'm happy to help. I really hope the 2026 treats you a little better, while not perfect I feel the 1500 XD is way better than anything else on the market. I have an early 2024 and have the leaky windshield, leaking air, slow windows, and most of the other teething issues. I have a noisy suspension pop when she first gets moving for the day but I've never had the dreaded axle clunk. All in all she's a beast and she's RED and I can't replace her until they come out with another one :p

There isn’t anything comparable to the 1500. I rack on lots of miles with lots of different machines. Only second choice would be a hd11. But I wouldn’t buy one.
