Working on new 1500. Installing tint on windows. Noticed large gap on inside drivers door and passenger door. Inside trim loose. Hopefully when installing mirrors, it will help tighten up. Anyone else notice the big gap on your windows?

This unit is going to live on the beach. Can’t imagine how much sand is going to end up inside door.

I have a crew. Nothing like you describe on this end. Myself and others have put rubber in the latch area due to cold air coming in, but I haven’t had any gap in windows or frame in that area. Sounds like something got missed with trim not installed correctly…hope you can easily fix.

Something is not quite right with that window seal, almost looks like it is warped or not lying flat when assembled.

mines like that to but not as bad driver side window takes forever to close though goes good down low but up near top slows to a crawl

Ok I'm wrong, I do have the pucker where the window opening bends and goes down. I'm assuming it's a straight gasket that has to go somewhere when it is forced to curve.

Every XD 1500 I've looked at on the Lot had some sorta Defect of the Seals..be it on the Doors or Winsheild trim. And Dealers don't Take any effort to try and Straighten them Out....This area of the XD seems lacking in Quality Control for Sure.

Here's a Pic....of the Windshield trim about Halfway up the driver's side is screwed up..and above the drivers door is caught on the Edge of the roofline..I see this Defect on allmost every one I look at.

The passenger window on mine now refuses to go all the way up. A piece of trim popped out and when I replaced, it’s working again, but it is still messed up. Trying to get an appointment with the dealer to address this issue. Stay tuned.

Not saying I like it, but I believe forcing a straight gasket to bend around corners is the culprit. Short of custom molding this gasket I think that's what you're going to get. While not perfect I've had no issues from this.

Both areas that I pointed out on that Pic...I believe coulda been straightened out buy the Dealership.I do have a Problem with a 40k Machine with Obvious blems like that. The dealers like to get them on the lot and get rid of them with as little attention as possible...IMO.
