My dealership just contacted me to say that the beefier hydraulic unit came in. I’ll be going there tomorrow to pick it up, and I’ll post more about it after installation.
Yes same. It’s so slow and gutless. That’s great news, if you could post up some pics of the part/model once you’ve got that’d be great. Just want to verify with my dealer when I go to get mine.
I picked up the new hydraulic plow lift kit today and got it installed. Attached are 3 photos. One shows the label on the hydraulic unit. Second shows the plow down on a slope that’s 12 degrees from horizontal and there’s still slack in the strap. The third photo is with the plow raised all the way. This is how I have it adjusted as I need the plow to be lower when I transition from horizontal to down slope. It raises and lowers just fine, but a little slow. That’s great news, if you could post up some pics of the part/model once you’ve got that’d be great. Only getting an inch of snow today. Not a great test of the hydraulic plow lift.Glad you finally got the right parts, let us know how it performs when you get your next snow.
We ended up with 1.5” of dry Rocky Mountain powder. I plowed our 10,000+ sqft concrete driveway this cold morning. The hydraulic plow lift works okay but is very slow to cycle up & down. Glad I’m retired and have the time.Only getting an inch of snow today. Not a great test of the hydraulic plow lift.
Just installed my hydraulic lift for the 84" plow. Slow as hell and doesn't want to raise as high as yours. My part number appears to be the older lift. I cannot for the life of me seem to find the part number listed on your pump. How can we be sure if ordering the lift from Polaris (or any dealer) that is going to be the beefier unit? Feel like I'm stuck with this one now.... Thank you.My dealership just contacted me to say that the beefier hydraulic unit came in. I ordered the plow, the controller and both hydraulic units when I ordered the XD 1500. When I found out the hydraulic lift wasn’t working, I contacted the dealer. They picked my Ranger up and agreed that it wasn’t right. They reported the problem to Polaris. I had to use the winch until the beefier unit was available. This is great info! Thank you for posting and sharing. Here’s some info for all those who have the 84” HD plow system and need the correct hydraulic part numbers.
