Has anyone found what style switches they use in the 1500 XD? Says they are a "K" series but striking out on finding online. Would like to have factory style for light bars.

I'm going to do a lightbar install myself and I tested some switches I have on hand. 1 fit and the other 2 do not (too large) Many of the lightbars out there come with switches that are too big for the opening. The easy button is probably just to get one from your dealer.

Did you ever find out who makes these switches for polaris? I'm working on outfitting my new rig and would love to find some matching switches.

Google is your friend; you're going to have to go there sooner or later to find exactly what you're looking for. If not just call your dealer and tell him what you want.

I've scoured the web a bunch already with no luck. Probably go for another aftermarket switch since polaris didn't have one labeled "side lights" that I could find.

Are the light switches the same in the main console and the overhead switch console? Are they a specific type or size of Contura switches?

I’m pretty late on this, but the K-Series switches are made by Carling Technologies. But they’re made only for Polaris. So far, the only place I’ve been able to find them is Polaris dealers.
They are on the pricey side, at about $65.

Thanks everyone
I have seen switch adapters for sale for a razor that might fit. The other thing I was thinking was to glue a square cutout with the standard hole size over the double opening on the dash.
I wanted to hook up a bumper light bar and have no other knock outs available. I could use the overhead switch panel but I think that I would have to run the feed down the Pilar to the bumper. Correct me if I’m wrong?

SSV Works has one solution for running out of switch spots if you don’t want to go to a full switch panel. It’s a bit pricy at $500, but turns 3 switch spots into 6 switches.

Another would be a product XTC Power Systems just released, which is a Micro Switch Panel. It offers 8 switches on a single rocker switch.

If you do the upper switch location, there’s a hole in the roof tube, about the center of the front doors, that you can fish the wires down the A-pillar and into the dash. You’ll likely need to cut and splice the wires as the holes aren’t big enough to run the plug through.
