I have a 2026 Mountaineer that has 30 miles on it. Everything was good to begin with but now it will not go over 30mph. No codes and no check engine light. I was at our camp two weekends ago and noticed it went back to camp this past weekend and it is still happening. Seatbelt is buckled. I disconnected the battery for 30 mins to reset the computer. No change. I talked to the dealer today and told them there was no check engine light and no codes. He said it I going to be hard to diagnose with no codes which is a bit concerning. Has anyone had this issue? Thanks.

Is seatbelt buckled into center seat clip instead of drivers clip i did that by accident and machine wouldn't go very fast until in correct clip

Yes I have left it buckled since the day I bought it. I don't actually wear it just leave it buckled. I also tried buckling all the seat belts in case they all had sensors which I learned later they do not.

There is a way with the ride command to limit the top speed. Is that set and turned on by chance?

Are you in Tow / Haul mode? 30 MPH is the max speed in that mode. Make sure it is in a different mode and try it again.

I discovered that when looking for codes in ride command it is not on but thanks for the reply.

I did not know 30mph was top speed in tow/haul mode. If that is the case it could be the issue. I thought I tried it with it off but possibly not. My property is steep so I usually leave it on. I will go there tomorrow to verify. Thanks for the reply.

Well I ran up to camp this afternoon and you were correct it was in tow/haul. I'm an idiot. Thanks for the help.
