Just wanted to get your guys thoughts (pros/cons) on putting 2in spring spacers on the ride to run some 37’s. Don’t want the machine to look like the tires are stuffed in.
Thank you for the reply, in looking at other threads and or forums I see that taking that on would be costly both in set up and in repairs…. I did have someone tell me to look into 4” portals and 35’s. I can keep the stock stuff and won’t put much strain on the transmission. My dealer told me that if I did bounce up to 35’s I would have to come back in so they could reprogram for the bigger tires. I am impressed with the last Polaris transmission update, the machine seems to have a little more move to it. Will probably tune it once the warranty goes out. Give these gilomen tunes time to work out kinks etc.I wouldn't do it, the spring spacers or 37" tires. I make no claim to be an expert on this but will share what little I know and let you judge for yourself. Spring Spacers (as I understand them) will not make your suspension perform better and likely considerably worse. If you want a better suspension, I would consider a long travel kit. (very expensive in my opinion) I'm guessing you're only going the spring spacer route to try to make clearance for 37" tires. That's a ton of tire unless you plan to do a tune to adjust your transmission shift points. I would think you would lose a lot of low-end power and likely put an undue strain on the transmission. The last comment I would have is 37's will raise your center of gravity which is not a good thing if you drive on slopes at an angle. I'm not sure if you're going for the monster truck look or if you really need that kind of ground clearance. I would say if you really need that kind of ground clearance then your stock suspension should definitely be replaced with something up to the task.
Thanks, I will look into that.Thumper Fab has a 3” lift kit that looks like it would be a good option. Much cheaper than portals or long travel too.
