Good day, took my xd1500 in to dealer after two months and 160 miles with a noise coming from where I thought was the windshield hold down area. Sounds like loose nuts and bolts rattling around. Dealer test drive and noticed another noise coming from the rear transmission area, removed skid plate and rocker panels, Polaris HQ engineers said to check fluid level and would advise from there. Anyone else having transmission noise?

Nothing on this end. Over 500 miles. Keep us updated.

Check where the bed lift cylinder mounts to the bed it will slide side to side and make noise when not under load. One garden hose rubber washer on each side of the cylinder on the inside of the bracket works perfect.

Sorry you’re out with your XD. I’m glad to hear they are replacing under warranty as they should. Please keep us updated.

We had one go completely out with less than 100 miles on it. Polaris replaced it no problem.

I posted a thread on here, a while, back about some strange noises. Mine was making the high pitch whine and a crackling type sound at idle, I took it into the dealer. I kind of felt like it was the transmission, but they diagnosed it as having a bad bearing in the drive pulley. I got a call just a little while ago and they are telling me they’re replacing the transmission now that that did not take care of the sound.
Has a little over 1400 miles on it. They said Polaris was sending a new transmission no as if they knew the situation I had posted some videos with the sound. Mine was making not sure if they are still available.

I do remember the noise Brett, you called it correctly. Seems like it took a while for them to figure it out.

For the amount we paid for these machines I think the service we receive is ridiculous in many cases !
I just don't think they care.

This whole transmission things has me a bit worried. Still waiting to pick up my new 2024 Ultimate from dealer . Waiting plow parts and installation. I did ask to ensure they check the machine for the tranny update.

I have to admit I have not had any transmission issues, noises, etc. I do have the rear axle clunk, which I still need to contact Polaris about. And when I do, I’m gonna do it every week. But I haven’t had many issues besides the recalls. I never had an issue with the recall notices or an instance stemming from the recalls.
