MANY THANKS for these really useful tips on the spare tire/cargo box options.

Woods Ranger: which box did you buy and how did you attach it on the length of the bed?

Big Red: Do you have the 30" spare tire and box mounted together? If so, will the 30" spare tire fit with the box mounted across the bed, rather than the side of the bed like Woods Ranger?
Hope this link works. This is the box I have. I can't find the Lock and Ride anchors I used to mount it. But they just go thru the box and lock in the rail.

Got my new UWS toolbox and it fits PERFECTLY with the spare tire. Took 5 minutes to install using the Polaris t bolts. It is AWESOME! Many thanks to everyone here for your suggestions and help.

I'm glad your happy with the set-up! The UWS toolbox fits the Ranger XD better than any other one that I've seen and doesn't require any extra brackets to make it work. It seems fairly expensive at first but it's really not any more expensive than the Kolpin after you buy the brackets to make it work and it's a much cleaner looking install. Looks great!

You mentioned the remote control for the winch, in my 25 Ultimate it is in a holder under the steering wheel which it easily detaches from. Hope that helps.

Got the same tool box in mine and I love it. I can’t help but notice the Chevelle in the background of the pic. Is it a 66 or 67? Had a friend that had a dark blue 67, 327 3 in the tree. We had a lot of fun in that car.

Good eye on the Chevelle. It is a 1966 SS 396 with the 360hp engine and M20 Muncie. Original car restored to build sheet found under back seat.

Very nice, bet it’s a lot of fun with a 396 in it and the 4 speed.

In High School a buddy of mine had a brown 70ish Chevelle, it looked fairly good but never ran very hard. We nicknamed it the "Brown Turd" Lot's a beer was drank in the Brown Turd and many fond memories were made.

Back in the day we ran anywhere between Mediapolis, Burlington, Ft Madison, Mt Pleasant, Keokuk and all places in between. I’m not sure how old you are but I graduated from Mediapolis in 1975 and we are having our 50 year reunion this weekend. We still need to meet sometime as we discussed, but there’s a good chance our paths may have crossed before. Seems like besides our 1500’s we have a lot of the same interests. This is a great site to get info and meet some nice people.

I graduated from Marquette in 1985, mostly the same stomping grounds except never really spent time as far north as Mediapolis unless we were up at 7 Ponds Park in the summer chasing pretty girls. Most of my beer drinking escapades were around West Point and Fort Madison because the cops were a lot more lenient and often times would just take your beer and send you on your way. West Point is known for it's drinking activities and it's the only small town that I know of that still has 4 bars on the town square. Safe to say back then no one was that concerned about a bunch of teenagers drinking it's just what everyone did back then. I'm sure we did a lot of the same stupid stuff in our day only I was 10 years behind you.
