Yep. It modifies the ecu. If you get another ecu then the info in the cluster doesn’t jive with the stock ecu. Also depends on the dealer.

Ecu is one thing I don’t mess with.

Technically yes it voids the warranty. Some people claim that if their dealer is "cool", they don't care... however, I've also heard of Polaris corporate requiring the dealer to scan and send them ECU data so that they can determine if it's been tuned or not before approving a warranty repair/replacement. Hearsay, but it's a risk no matter how you cut it.

I add a tune to mine but i bought one from them and kept my very easy to swap out before going to the dealer. Hope this helps.

Keep your original ECU. Some dealers are pricks some are cool. Hopefully yours is as cool as mine. Giloman has a product with fantastic customer service. I'm from the midwest and them folks know how to serve the public!

I was looking at Gilomen myself. I was going to buy the tuned ECU and TCM from them and keep my stock ones to swap out for service or if I have warranty issues. My question is, is it like a vehicle, where they can look at start cycles compared to miles driven to determine if it's been removed and doesn't add up?

The dealer I go to has not given me any warranty issues. Customer service is high priority for them. I am from the midwest and the minds of service providers have high integrity and quality and customer relations as top priority. The choice is yours , Giloman has a fantastic product and service and integrity come along with the package.

I'm pretty sold on the tune. The machine is new and only has a few hours on it. I don't think tuning this soon should hurt it. My dealer is good about trying to help me out as much as possible. Do hopefully if I have an issue and put the stick ECU and TCM back in they won't ask many questions.

The performance is great. Sounds like your dealer is like minded with you. Have you had a chance to chat with Giloman ?

A little via email. They are quick to respond. They are even willing to offer the trade in credit for my stock ECU/TCM 2years from now once my warranty is up. Though my dealer suggested I buy the e year extension.
