Aftermarket Assassins Exhaust

Here is a picture similar to one posted earlier of a glowing factory muffler. Approximately 1100 degrees F. I changed out factory muffler for Aftermarket Assassins dual muffler. What a difference!!! Will post picture of new muffler with temps. It did turn a couple of spots blue on new muffler, guessing temps are in the 600-800 degree

It runs way cooler because it no longer has a catalytic converter inside the muffler. How do you like the sound?

My decibel meter on phone says the two mufflers were the same at idle. Both mufflers then would be higher than the other one and vice versa at different rpms. The AA muffler has a very deep sound when you hammer it!! My machine also has the Gilomen tune and transmission tune. I am not going back!!!! Have a catalytic converter for sale, LOL!!!!

I know that glow is normal I seen it with two separate engines. lol. I’d love to get your thoughts on sound. I wouldn’t mind a bit louder but not much. I want the heat gone!

You can see where the new muffler turned a light blue/brown probably at 600-800 degrees F. I took these temperatures today after a 2 hour ride. Way cooler than the fire breathing dragon I took off. The sound is hard to describe, decibel meter says the old and new are very similar. I wear two cochlear implants so I am poor judge, my wife says it is a deeper growlyer sound, she still rides with me and we carry on conversations like before the switch. She hasn't said put the old back on!!!!!!!!

Looks like after I finish the upgrades on my new truck, I’m going back to upgrading the XD, with some of these real world experiences.
