UPDATE: Texted our salesperson. He was on his day off but contacted the appropriate party at the dealership. They are ordering the spanner and will get it to us, either by bringing it to us at their next pick up (we are an hour and a half away) or by mail, whichever is soonest. So we have a little renewed faith in our dealership. Thanks to all who answered our query!

Videos of the rollout of the 1500 show a coil over shock wrench in the tool kit. Saw it somewhere else too. We didn’t receive one. Did anyone get one with their vehicle?

I'm guessing your talking about a Pre-load spanner wrench; no I did not get one in the toolkit.

Yes it’s a spanner wrench to adjust pre load on the springs. I received one in my tool kit.

I was wrong, I did get one. I took it out of that shitty little tool pouch and put it in my tool bag.

Hmmm…did Polaris get cheap — saving $9.99 by stopping inclusion of a needed spanner wrench on a $50,000+ vehicle? Or did the dealership take it out of the tool kit while hoping you’d buy it back from them? Either way it sucks!
Or maybe it was just misplaced by the factory, dealer or owner like I did. All of which are more likely options than those listed above. If you're going to adjust the preload you will likely just do it once.....maybe I'm wrong and a lot of you are jacking with them more often than that. Quite frankly I've never messed with the preload on any of my Rangers. I could have never received any of them and life would have been just fine.

See our update on the original post. Also, we have to change the preload to accommodate the monster plow and its hydraulics. It’s required according to the plow instructions. And we need to return it to the soft position after the plow is removed.

If you need one I'm sure your dealer will likely give you one. If not a hammer and screwdriver works fine for many. I have the 7' plow and don't adjust my preload for the plow and everything works out just fine. Not saying you should do this just saying I don't really see the need to mess with it.

Here’s a photo of the tool kit that came with our XD 1500 NS Ultimate. It has never been opened and there is no spanner wrench. FYI

My spanner wrench was not in the plastic bag with the other tools as you can see my plastic bag is unopened as well. Like I said before your spanner wrench was likely misplaced by someone. Maybe ask your dealer where it should have been since it clearly was not supposed to be in the pink bag.

If I remember correctly, there wasn’t one in my tool bag. I think it was just laying in one of the storage/glove boxes.

That was probably the case with me too, I honestly don't remember if it was in a glovebox or the bag with my manual and paperwork. No matter if you never got one just ask your dealer and I would hope they would get you one.

Yes came in kit

Was told by my dealer they provided the wrench up until last spring/summer then stopped adding them to the kit. My dealer ordered one for me and just gave it to me.

Glad to hear that you’re gonna be getting one at no cost from your dealer. It’s disappointing that Polaris is no longer providing them in the kit. Especially for a $50K machine.

Agreed, that's awful, they probably cost Polaris a dollar

I use a swivel spanner wrench. It's thicker and saves on the knuckles. You can get a set of four on amazon for under $30.00.
