Does anyone run the Gilman Innovations chip in their 1500XD? I am contemplating the Mountaineer with one of these chips to extend the top end speed. Also more low end torque for climbing. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

This is my second Gilman tune. It really woke up my 1500XD!!!! You will get more speed ( rpm limiter changed). Not sure how much torque increase you will see, because of the difference in rear end gear ratios. If I stop on an extremely steep hill and punch it in tow haul mode, it will dig four holes!!!!

Awesome sauce! I will take that as a positive recommendation . Do you have the Mountaineer ?

What size tires are you running?

I have the Mountaineer and just installed the Giloman tune today so little data.

I didn't have the runway to get it to full speed but I had it at 68 and it was still climbing. Plenty fast for what I need it to do.

You do lose the creep on the low end. Not sure why.

It's a driving adjustment. It feels like the first 1/4 throttle is anemic but once it kicks in there is a lot of torque. The 0-60 time is pretty quick for a SXS.

I will have it at camp this weekend so I can check it out more in rough terrain.
