Hopefully you're looking for a new 1500 XD and not a 2500HD as you might have to go to a chevy dealer for the later. I'm not sure what your situation is but in Iowa I have to pay 7% sales tax on the Ranger purchase price (I'm not a farmer) so I can afford to take 7% less for my trade and still break even as opposed to selling it outright. Plus, I don't have to dick with trying to get it sold. Everyone's situation is different, and laws vary from state to state so it may or may not make a difference to you.
Yes Big Red, I am looking at a 1500XD, I went a drove a crew 1500 XD northstar ultimate tonight with a friend and both us were amazed in how quiet it was inside running down the street by the dealership. He has a brother in law with an Expedition and he says there comparison in the noise level in the cab. My dealer don't want to trade for my RZR right now. But they don't have the titanium crew yet it not showing until March or April for delivery .
I could understand why your dealer don't want a RZR right now, it's not the best time of the year for that machine in many parts of the country. The SXS market has also changed tremendously over the last year. Us early guys paid full sticker and waited 5-6 months to get one, now most are in stock, and they are knocking $5000 or more off the sticker to move them.
