Speakers not working on ride command, any known problems

I know of no reoccurring problems with the Ride Command "speakers not working". That said I'm sure you don't have a speaker problem you have a power supply problem which could be a fuse, wiring harness, amp, or head unit. Time to get out the tester or take it to the dealer.

The ride command functions work. The GPS and Bluetooth all function the ride command screen displays properly.
The sound from the speakers just do not function.

There is an external amplifier between the ride command and the speakers. Likely something going on there, power, connection, or bad unit.

Thanks for that information, I will check that out.

Like I said earlier in this thread.

😕 ....if nobody expanded upon or re-articulated previous posts in a thread, this would be a very quiet forum. We're all just trying to help.

Every time I start mine up the sound goes to mute and 95% of the time it kicks the source from the FM station I’m usually listening to over to Bluetooth. I set the source back to FM and just press one of the volume button, up or down doesn’t matter and sound comes on.

Mine does the same volume thing. I think it’s designed that way. Which I personally don’t mind. That way if I had it up loud for some reason, and then don’t remember the next time I’m in it, I don’t $h!t my pants. lol.

I think after talking with the dealer it’s one of those things that just is as it is. I believe it’s just programmed that way right or wrong. It doesn’t bother me either, after I figured out how to get the sound back. Now I’m used to it.

Both my 24 XD and my 27 Xpedition do it too. Just have to hit the volume either up or down.
