My son turned my 2025 Ranger 1500 off to the "accessory" position and killed the battery. I discovered it two weeks later. While the battery would take a charge to 12.8v, I discovered that it must have a bad cell. When starting the machine, the voltage would drop to around 11.8v. Interestingly, it would take 4 or 5 tries before it would keep running. It would turn over fine, but sputter, cough and die before finally keep running. It has never done this before. I replaced the battery with the Polaris Pro AGM and it fires right up again. I know a lot of people have been suggesting that non ethanol fuel may be doing the same thing. I have run non ethanol fuel ever since it was new and never had starting issues until the battery went bad. With the new battery, all is good again. I'm thinking that these machines may be very voltage sensitive and requires full voltage for good starts. If you are having starting problems, even though you have good resting voltage, checking the battery under load may be a worthwhile thing to do. Just fyi.
