Best Gun Rack Setup for the Ranger XD 1500?

Hello everyone.

I’m looking for a good gun rack setup for my Ranger XD 1500 and would like to hear what everyone is running. I’ve seen the Kolpin gun boots, Big Sky overhead racks, and the newer Lock & Ride Max rail setups, but I’m not sure which is the best option.

My main concerns are keeping the gun secure over rough and bumpy trails, minimizing movement, and still having enough room in the cab.

For those who have installed one, which system did you choose and how has it held up?

Would you buy the same setup again, or is there another option you recommend?

Is that a commercially available rack, or one you fabbed yourself? Also trying to determine what the gun is, looks like FDE stock maybe Ruger?

I bought the rack. I learned of it on this forum but i can't remember the brand. That's a 16" ruger american rifle

Do you have a 4 door or a 2 door? On my 4 door, I used the ratcheting gun holders and mounted to the bar behind the front seats. They hold my guns very secure, don’t take up any cab space. I use a total of 4, so I can ride around with 2 guns. Mine is currently loaded in my enclosed trailer, otherwise I’d get a photo. I have posted one in here in the past though.

I have a 2 door and I’m probably out of luck because the rifle I would put in the mount is too long. I can legally carry here in Iowa but I’ll probably just let any long gun ride in a case just setting in the cab because I most likely would be alone then.
