Dark mode on ride command

It will not allow you to "take it off of auto" when this issue arises.

my New 25 did the same thing. grayed out the option to change then i turned lights on and problem fixed. has been fine so far.

Go into your settings and take it off of auto.

Doesn't help. That's what we thought. The fix is just to turn the running lights on.

Turning the lights on isn't a fix, it's how it is supposed to operate.

No it's not. Driving through the woods during elk season in the middle of the day going from sun to partial shade with it switching from normal to dark mode is not how it is supposed to operate. Early morning before the sun comes up it operates correctly. Middle of the day, it comes on, no. There is an issue.

I ran mine yesterday afternoon. Total cloud cover and snowing. When the lights were off it was dim and stayed dim. With the lights on it switched to bright and stayed bright.

This has actually become an issue that Polaris can't solve right now. I haven't said much but I have been working with my dealer and Polaris to identify the root cause. Ours will cycle light to dark while driving in the sun with no window tint. If we turn the light switch to the first notch, the display stays in day mode but the buttons flash on and off just like the screen does when the lights are not on. We have the latest software according to the dealer and Polaris, but the issue continues. It doesn't prevent us from using the machine but for the price, some of these issues should have been addressed by Polaris. I actually have a video of the buttons flashing that I may upload.

The dealer just received the new updated windshield so we will be taking the machine back to the dealer for the 4th time for various issues. We have 240 miles on it now but some if this just a nuisance but for the price, it shouldn't be happening in my opinion.

I think almost everyone here agrees for the price we shouldn't see so many nuisance issues. That said most of us still love the XD and wouldn't have anything else. I had the buttons that would flash on and off as well, I don't see them doing it anymore but it might be because I always drive with my low beams on. It's the law in Iowa if you drive your SXS on the road so I don't even think about it anymore.

Big Red, even with the lights on the buttons flash. They don't flash with the lights off. We really like our machine also, but we shouldn't HAVE to drive with the lights on to correct this issue. Hopefully Polaris will get these issues addressed one at a time and provide some final resolution.

I had a Ride Command update a while ago that I think resolved the issue with my buttons flashing. Maybe I'm wrong but I can't remember the last time I saw them flashing. I have to push more white shit when I get home today, I'll try to pay attention to see if it's still happening.

My buttons flash also at least occasionally…..if that’s the absolute worst i have to deal with i’ll take it but i handle major life issues much better than most Just messin with you guys. bugs me too
