Ranger 1500 tire and wheel pics

Looks Good!! My wheels stick out a couple of inches on each side which throws more mud up the side, but I do like the looks of a wider stance. I wish I could get some flares that were not as big as the Thumper Fab ones.
I agree with you on the fender flares. Wish someone would make some low profile ones.

After 6000 miles on the 30" factory tires, I switched to Kanati Mongels (32x10R15). I've had the Mongrels on my 1000 and were happy with them. The 10ply is a plus in my mind for noxious weed spraying. They are also on the quiet side. More so than the originals or Tusk Terrabytes (my opinion). The 32" definitely raise the rig up a bit. The wife isn't pleased but I am....

Wow, you have 6000 miles already. I’m guessing you can legally drive yours on the road where you’re at? My buddy has the mongrels on 2 RZR’s now and loves them. Hasn’t had any issues in any terrain, and loves them.

6000 miles on the factory tire is more than what I would have expected. The Mongrels look good on your rig.

I like that! They’re beefy but not over the top.

Update: After 7 months the Mongrels are developing cracks on the side walls. I had to put a tube in one of the tires a couple of weeks ago. Today I had another one start leaking. Very frustrated with this brand. Time to look at light truck tires.

That sucks!!they are a highly rated tire too.

That's horrible! I have the BFG KM3's 32' X10" and absolutely love them. Next time I'm going to buy the truck version of this tire in a 33" X 11.50 which works without rubbing and gives you quite a bit more tire. Lot's of good tires out there but the Mongrels don't appear to be one of them.

One thing I know about truck tires. Because I ran a set in my 20 ranger. The compound is hard! Which is a good think till winter rolls around. Then they are awful in the snow and icy roads. I have 12,000 km on my alpha valor 32’s. No complaints. Yes they are wearing but they are great in the winter too. Like very very good!

Best part is they are made in USA. By Carlisle.

Several people here run the Alpha tires here with great results. I have no experience with them but trust those who do. They should be on your shortlist when considering options.

Sorry to hear about the mongrels. I’m very surprised to hear about it as well. I know several people that have ran them on their RZR’s with no issues. I even thought about switching to them on my XP before I decided to upgrade to the XD.

I’m using the alpha valors like clubin is, and have zero complaints. I don’t have the miles he does. But I do agree they have worked great in snow, big rocks, soft desert pumice sand, gravel, etc.

Ended going with KM3s

Ended up going with BF Goodrich KM3s (32x10-15 UTV). So far, I like them. They are quiet and smooth. I order them from Rocky Mountain ATV on a Thursday and they came that Monday.

I know I love mine, super smooth and bite surprisingly well in mud and snow. I have 3000 miles on them and they still look new.
