Lol, CFO. Never heard that one. But I might have to use it at some point. Although I do have to admit, I don’t get any shit 99.9% of the time on my purchases.Another quick update. I took out the stock subs and installed 1 kicker 8-inch shallow sub. This made a good improvement over the stock speakers. I have a second kicker 8-inch shallow sub but to make it work I will need to remove the seat belt on the driver's side rear. It's just my wife and I so it's not a big deal for us but honestly, the sound with 1 sub is better than the JBL and would suffice for most. I think the two 8 inch will be pretty good, but we may just live with the 1 sub.
Fo Cal makes two 8 inch really shallow subs for $1360 a piece. That got shot down during the CFO (wife) review!!lol
My CFO would have veto power over that one as well. For almost $1400 I better have a "Happy Ending" every time I hear it thump!Fo Cal makes two 8 inch really shallow subs for $1360 a piece. That got shot down during the CFO (wife) review!!lol
I was considering this audio kit and reviewing the install instructions on the Polaris site , it appears to have a panel installed over the subs on the inside. Am I missing something , I can’t imagine getting much sound out of it with the subs being covered .Our machine is out getting ceramic window tint, so I haven't had time to install the second sub. Once the second sub is installed, I will provide an honest opinion. I hate to remove that seat belt but at the end of the day it's just my wife and I along with our Schnauzer!!lol
Thanks Tazman I think the hardest part of this install is getting the seat back off , I tried to take one of the front seat backs off and gave up before I broke the clips off . Real pain in the ass to take the seats out .There is not real panel over it. There is a different carpeted piece that comes with the kit that goes over the sub encloser. It does make a little difference with it on or off.
I did install the second sub, and it sounds pretty good now. I lack 1/4 of an inch of getting the seat belt to fit. I have considered shimming out the support where the seat belt mounts but I am tires of working on this thing. If you could buy just the plastic encloser, I could tell you what else to buy to make it sound better than the Polaris subs and amp.
