Clunk discussion

Are you having the clunk when you’re on/off gas or a rotational popping noise?

Clunk on and off the gas.

I’m curious to know if you have any clunking afterwards. Like I’ve mentioned, I still do, even though it’s improved around 75-80%. It’s still there.

Ok so new axles again. New part number. No physical difference. Installed by dealer as per their instructions. Locktite inner and outer splines. 24h cure time. The inner axles are solid into the rear differential! Zero play.

Good news so far. No clunk! But this will be a bugger to get apart now.

I seen the old axles they didn’t reinstall the o-rings they were still on the old axles. Unless the new axles came with the o-ring. Which is possible.

I've got about 300 miles on my new axles now, so far no clunk. Keeping my fingers crossed.

400+km and no clunk. One thing I’ll mention is the inner is solid! Like no movement in the inner spline. Nothing!

Report on my old 24 model. Dealer installed new back cv axle. I noticed they had it for sale so I guess it’s not clunking. Without driving it I wouldn’t know how it sounds now.

Update on my 2025 model. Almost 500 miles and there is a pop ever so often. Much better than what my 24 was sounding like so far.
