Has anyone installed an override switch to turn the radiator fans on? If so, what kit did you use? I'm new to the XD and coming from a General for 6 years and it's didn't run this hot.

How hot is it running? Obviously it is an entirely different platform, so some running behavior is going to be different. I'm curious how it compares to other machines here, to identify if yours is unique in that way or not.

Slow going on the trail, it was staying around 200-204. On the open road it was between 195-200.

That doesn't sound bad to me. Not to get on a soapbox, but Polaris does tune these things to run within a temperature range, and the thermostat is selected to keep it in that range... running the fans trying to cool it down when it doesn't need it won't really gain you anything. It is more important when you have tunes and are creating more heat due to the increased power and usually leaner air-fuel ratios.

All of that said, I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to add a switch - however, be damn sure you aren't back-feeding voltage into the ECU when the fan is expected to be off. You'd want to install a relay that is down-stream from the factory relay.

Maybe others here will have differing opinions... mine is just that, an opinion.
