Was down in a steep hole, had to stop, tried easing into to get start and transmission didn't engage or slipped. Tried the Polaris torque start method and just dug four holes in the ground. My old Ranger 1000 had no issues in this spot. How many of you have had the same issue? Going to dealership today, Grrrrrrrr!!!

Can you help me understand a bit more? You did the torque start, and it did indeed drive all 4 wheels but you were still stuck. You realize this machine is 1,500 pounds heavier than a ranger 1000 right? What tires are you running?

Please understand I am not attacking you. Just want to better understand why you think it's a dealer issue?

I am trying to figure out if this is an issue or not, that is why I went to dealer today. If I could have eased into throttle with machine without it slipping I would have walked right out of the place I was in. Been there numerous times with my 1000 Ranger. The torque start method is very aggressive way to get started, kinda like mashing the throttle on ice. The machine is not very useful for me if I can't start and stop on steep slopes (30-40%). Dealer was not very helpful. Said buy a mountaineer. I asked if he had heard of this problem with the mountaineer or a machine like mine. No comment was his reply. I think there is an issue with this transmission, why the new extended warranty?

If all 4 tires were digging what was the problem? It did what you told it to do.
It didn't do what I asked of the machine when I was trying to ease into into it, transmission slipped. My question was has anyone else had this issue? PS walked 5 miles back to my truck and had to be pulled out by a CAN AM.
