What’s New with Your Ranger XD this week? 🛠️

Very small thing but just applied this Kemimoto Ride Command screen saver. Easy install and it fit well. Instructions were not so great but pretty basic process.
I installed the same brand, was pleased with the results.

I have the same one. Can’t even tell it’s on there.

Modified a Kemimoto box we bought for our ranger XP 1000 crew before we traded it back in for a 1500. I wanted a tool box but the wife uses most of the bed for hauling stuff. So, I thought it was a good compromise.

Not this week, but over the last few weeks. I’ve added a WeBoost cellular booster, S3 motor sports rear inner fender liners, front and rear thumperfab chassis stiffener braces, front rigid pod lights, roto-pax mounts, tablet holder, and a small all black metal American flag emblem. I haven’t had a chance to get any good photos with a clean machine. Or it’s been in the shop.

And I always say, “ok, I think I’m done”. Then I find something else. Lol.

I added the Amazon door straps that someone here suggested. I had to run them at an angle (not straight across as they shown) so they would stop the door before it hit the hinge lug.

Today when I got home from work I found the set of front and rear mats I ordered from Amazon and a CK Formula interior light kit as well.

So, I spent some time installing them. Wasn’t hard as I used a 12v usb plug adapter at the back plug and ran the wires under the floor mats. Velcroed the controller box in the back box under the seat where the amp is and called it done.

My wife calls them snake 🐍 lights lol…says they give more interior lights and she can see under the seats in the back. She wanted them for the purpose of seeing the floor board. I really think it’s to make sure she doesn’t have a snake in the floor board lol 😂

I like the interior lights as well, I wish the dome light would come on when the doors are opened (with an option to shut it off of course)

For what these things cost, the dome light should come on when the door is opened.

You can control the color of the lights and brightness with an app you download as well. I forgot to mention that.

I went out and played with the lights as I’m off today and found it will respond to music as well in the app. This is the JBL 4200 upgraded stereo as well. I have the bass turned down some as it will rattle the cab if turned up. It is costly, and are there better quality options?, yes, but I did not want to have to deal with installing it myself. Overall, I’m happy.

With all the bluetooth technology increasing I won't be surprised to see bluetooth door switches.
Absolutely. They know when and how to add the features that keep us trading on to the next best thing. Well, unfortunately, it works for me.

3/8" floor mat kit is the way to go. Noise reduction, helps insulate the floor, better foot traction, and makes things much easier to clean out! Sound deadening material is available too and does work great.

I got the WD overhead console hazard light switch in today, and installed it this afternoon. Evidently, I forgot about telling them I wanted the hazard light switch when we bought it.

UTV Stereo 10” 500amp subwoofer kit came in today. I’ll get to installing it in the next couple days. Kit is very well built, and thought out.
I’m sure that set up will be great 👍. Look forward to hearing your feedback and thoughts on the UTV subwoofer kit.

Evidently, my wife likes to order accessories as well. She ordered a set of these S3 Power Sports Door Pockets for the front. She had them put on herself this evening. She said the cheep net pockets would not hold much. I’m pretty sure she saw them here on the forum as well.

I need to order another set for the back I guess.

I love my door pockets, they hold so much more stuff. And your wife is correct, the nets are worthless and a pain in the ass to use. In my opinion, before you order ones for the rear doors, take a look at the razorback off-road door pockets that will hold a large yeti style water bottle. I installed that style in the front, and it’s been great for myself and passengers. I have the normal style in the rear due to the fact I rarely have rear passengers. The front S3’s I replaced with the razorbacks, I installed on the razorback off road under seat boxes.
