What’s New with Your Ranger XD this week? 🛠️

I love my door pockets, they hold so much more stuff. And your wife is correct, the nets are worthless and a pain in the ass to use. In my opinion, before you order ones for the rear doors, take a look at the razorback off-road door pockets that will hold a large yeti style water bottle. I installed that style in the front, and it’s been great for myself and passengers. I have the normal style in the rear due to the fact I rarely have rear passengers. The front S3’s I replaced with the razorbacks, I installed on the razorback off road under seat boxes.

I like those. Thanks for the link. I’ll order a set of those for the fronts. We rarely have passengers as well.

Just finished installing the JRI Mid Travel on our XD 1500. Gotta say, these are a work of art!

The design appears to be very strong, with lots of gussets at all the obvious stress points. But they’re all rounded edges and sleek styling. They also have greaseable bushings, and come with a tip-to-tip tie rod replacement, rather than just an extension.

I’m sure that set up will be great 👍. Look forward to hearing your feedback and thoughts on the UTV subwoofer kit.
Here’s my little write up about it:

Kit is great, well worth the money, and I bought the “cheap” kit.

Went and picked up our liscense plate and stopped by the dealership yesterday and brought home the front upper brush guard and installed it today.

Ordered an under seat storage box I saw here and was recommended by several.

Those bumpers look so tough!

Looks good! I still need to get mine in for window tint. They look so much better.

That looks great! Did you tint the windshield? What percentage tint did you go with on the sides and back?

25% on sides and back, 50% in the front. We do a lot of night time riding on the roads and some trails as it’s legal in our county. I didn’t want the front to dark for visibility. The tint helps temendrously with the heat during summer. Also, this is what we had on our last 1500 and other ranger northstars, and it worked great for us.

I feel the same, I do a lot of driving in the dark in early mornings and late nights. So I’m skipping the windshield altogether. Just gonna do 20% on sides and back window. That way when I’m having to reverse for a half mile down a dead end road, I can still kind of see. Plus I use mine for hunting, even though I’m not a road hunter. I like to see well enough out the windows in case I see game.

On my 2dr, did 20% all the way around, sans the windshield. Left that untouched. Looks great still, I think it looks better darked out than my Xpedition did with 20% all the way around. Did it myself, came out pretty good, minus some chocolate lab hair probably in a couple spots. Used autozone GILA ceramic at $27.00 a roll. Took two rolls.

Looks great, I wish I could do mine that way. I have a 2 door and in Iowa the only thing that is legal to tint is the back windows of a 4 door and the rear window, so that just leaves me the rear window. I often times have a refreshment in my Ranger and the last thing I want to do is talk to the Po Po about how dark my windows are.

These look great. I'd like to tint mine but use it at night a lot. I really appreciate everyone saying how dark their tint is. it really helps me decide.

I put the headache rack on today and got the AJK off road underseat storage box I ordered put on this am.

I used heavy duty Velcro after cleaning everything good with alcohol and dried it and attached it so it can be easily removed if needed. I have done this with a Polaris underseat storage box that we had on our 1000xp crew that will not fit under the seat on a 1500XD with good results.

I say I’m done, and then I see something else someone has done here and then I hit the order button. Wife is going to kill me one of these days 😬.

I also saw Big Red here, I think if memory serves me correctly, had some plugs at the back of his beside the hitch he had ordered from Amazon, but was no longer in stock. I ordered as close as to the size as I could get off Amazon knowing I would have to trim them down.

I cut the ribs off with a utility knife on 3 sides carefully, and popped it right in. Tight enough they will not come out, but will pop out if needed.

Still waiting on more stuff to show up.

Looking good. I need to order the plugs as well. I usually wait until I have a long enough list for Amazon before I make an order.

My boys informed me that the new 1500 was lacking the built-in fishing rod holders that our old ranger had. So we made a new mount this weekend. Looked good in plywood, might have to recut it out of some composite decking.
Are you selling those?
